Where it came from
The Sailing Club of Washington shares a fleet among several hundred members, and needed a solid, mobile friendly way to reserve boats. Dockside is the evolution of the software built for them. Nine seasons of real members and real boats have been through it.
Enough other clubs asked about it that it seemed like an idea worth sharing.
What that means for your club
You will judge Dockside on the calendar, since that is the part you can see. Most of a season is smaller than that: a cancellation an hour before a squall, a certification that lapsed in June, a boat pulled for repair with reservations already on it. Dockside has been through all three, so your club does not have to work them out on the fly.
