What Dockside actually does

Book a boat, keep the fleet straight, know who is cleared to sail it.

Reserving

Booking should feel like sketching, not paperwork.

No form to hunt for. Drag the hours you want on the week grid, pick the boat, and it is on the board with your name on it. Click any block to see who has the boat and change your own.

  • Month, week and day views
  • Purpose and notes on every booking
  • Reserve a run of dates in one pass

Certifications

The right people on the right boats.

Dockside only offers a hull to the people cleared for it, so nobody has to police the sign-out sheet.

  • Certify a skipper in one tap on the roster
  • Group classes into keelboats, dinghies, whatever fits

The fleet

Track every hull, and everything the next skipper should know.

Notes save as you type, so “centerboard pin is stiff” reaches the person who takes it out on Saturday.

  • Take a boat out of service and it leaves the calendar
  • Class sets the certification a booking requires
  • Notes travel with the boat, not the group text

What it replaces

One calendar, always current, visible from the dock.

The whiteboard by the door
Legible only to whoever is standing in the clubhouse.
The Saturday group text
Where a double booking gets discovered at the dock.
The shared calendar nobody trusts
No fleet, no classes, no idea who is checked out.

Where it came from

Dockside was custom built for the Sailing Club of Washington. It ran there season after season: real members, real boats, real April.

Pricing

Pay for the fleet you sail.

Every club gets the whole product. The bigger the fleet, the kinder the arithmetic. Minimum $15 a month, one invoice a year.
